Why Search Ranking Is Important And How SEO Can Help

Posted by Rochelle Neal on August 12th, 2010 and filed under seo training | No Comments »

SEO. The term has been taking over the online world. Everybody wants a piece of this as they claim that it is presently one of the most effective forms of online marketing which boosts a website’s traffic. And we know that an increased traffic can later on translate to an increase in customers and proceeds.

Search Engine Optimization is simply a tactic that gives more visibility to web sites without the need of a pay per click or PPC. When an applicable keyword is entered on search engines like Google and Yahoo, the website will appear in the search result.

The fight for a space on the search result is tough. There are hundreds of thousands of web sites on the Web that wish to get a place on the top 10 web sites on the first page of the search result.

Nearly all active websites can benefit from SEO, but those in the business section are often the ones who commission this feature from experts. The reason behind it is simple: if a web site ranks high in search engines, it will be in the first few pages, if not the first, of a keyword search result.

Landing a position on the first page of a search result pulls in visitors. And the more people who visit the website, the more possible customers the website acquires.

That’s not all. In order to get on top of the search page, the web site likewise has to be popular. If there are more individuals who visit the web site, it will rank high in search pages. So you see, it’s a little bit of a predicament. A website has to rank high in search engines to acquire high traffic, but simultaneously, it also requires high traffic to rank high in search engines. The answer to this problem is none other than good SEO.

search engine optimization is also about the page content, not just the technical parts like getting the meta tags accurate and adding the most wanted, applicable keywords. Good content can tempt other more popular web sites to link your URL on their page.

If you decide to hire an SEO consulting company, only trust a dependable firm that has rendered many successful results for their past clients. Remember, a website’s ranking can either be raised by good SEO application or aggravated by bad optimization practice.

Are you determined to give your website the SEO advantage? Hire a reliable SEO consultant to get a boost in search engine ranking today.

This involves trying to learn how to do SEO, implementing website strategies that work, and marketing your site properly so that it’ll be visible to not only the search engine crawlers but to searching consumers as well.

    Doing Keyword Research

The first things you should know if you want to learn how to do SEO is what keywords are and how they can be used. Keyword research is incredibly important in learning search engine optimization and actually carrying out the techniques. This involves taking a look at what some of your competitors are using for their keywords, researching the search volume of the keywords that you want to rank for in the search engines, and positioning those keywords on your website in just the right places.

search engine optimization is essentially improving the quality of search volume to your website or landing page, and if done correctly with keyword research and marketing, can be a smart strategy to take. To learn how to do SEO correctly and thoroughly will take a bit of effort and time, but the return-on-investment will be well worth your while.

    Placing Your Keywords in Content

Know how to do SEO by placing keywords correctly in the content of your website. The keywords that you want to rank for should be near the beginning of the text in your website. This will tip off the search engines to what your website is really about. The keywords should also be placed in the Meta tags of the website. Meta tags will help with search engine crawlers, boosting your visibility and relevance with Google, Bing, Yahoo, and other search engines.

A few concrete examples of how you can learn how to do SEO right now is by taking the keywords you have and placing them in your Meta tags. Place them in the Title Meta tag of your website, the Description tag, as well as the Keyword tag. Having your keyword in these three prominent spots will help you rank for those keywords over your competitors who may not have them.

You can also learn SEO by providing relevant content, articles, blogs, pictures, and videos on your website. All types of internet media will attract the search engines, which is what you ultimately want to boost search engine page ranks and traffic.

In all, it is not very difficult to learn how to do SEO, but it takes a bit of time on the part of the website owner who wishes to profit from it. By learning how to do proper keyword research, implement those keywords into your website pages and then provide great content for your site, anyone can do SEO and excel at it.

Reading And Learning From Internet Articles

Posted by Ping Moore on July 12th, 2010 and filed under seo training | No Comments »

Visit a newsroom and ask a journalist about SEO, and you would usually get a rather terse response. SEO, or search engine optimisation, has been the reason articles abound all over the internet. In SEO, keyword-rich copies are distributed for the sole objective of creating links that will make a website very searchable in the search engines. In short, SEO writing is for marketing and advertising of small to medium size enterprises.

In both news media writing and SEO, the chant “content is king” applies. Readers have discerning preferences, and would instantly disregard a poorly written, keyword-bombed copy. In both news media writing and SEO, content, therefore, has to be engaging. While it is true that search engine spiders are also target readers of a keyword-rich article, real people actually read SEO copies, therefore these articles have to make sense.

Do news writers have a reason to intimidate SEO writers? If SEO writers apply rules of ethical journalism, then no. In SEO writing, copying another’s work is not acceptable, and so are problematic grammar and nonsensical composition. Google’s algorithms discriminate original content versus copied versions and would get rid of copy cats immediately.

Where readership is concerned, SEO writers even have a tougher situation vying for attention. People use the internet to browse, not to read. Articles need to be compelling enough for people to give it a thorough look. Otherwise, web surfers can quickly click on other articles for the information they are searching for. People who read newspapers, on the contrary, usually get to the third page before they lose interest or suppose they already can tell the rest of the story.

There is a global need for SEO. Singapore is one of the countries leading in SEO services. SEO services Singapore offers is accredited for quality, guaranteed ranking, and measurable leads, conversions, and returns in days, not months.

The great advantage of outsourcing a Singapore-based SEO company is that it is a source of local and offshore top-calibre SEO talents. SEO writing is deadline-driven. Considering the high demand for articles, SEO companies export writing jobs to English-expert writers from other countries like the Philippines. This is most beneficial to clients contracting Singapore-based SEO companies because there is no time-zone, thus the lesser difficulty for meeting deadlines.

Another common ground for both news writing and internet article writing is the opportunity both provide writers to earn a living while pursuing their pleasure for the written word.

10 Basic Rules Regarding Keyword Placement

Posted by Eric Torres on July 11th, 2010 and filed under seo training | No Comments »

Even though Google and other major search engines don’t pay attention to Meta Keyword Tags, it is still advisable to use them, although many people will advice you against them. Meta Tags will help you remember the keyword phrases you are optimizing the pages for especially when dealing with lots of web pages. When it comes to the META description tag, let the keyword phrase be as near the start of the sentence as possible and then make the tag a full sentence.

1.Never use italic or bold keyword phrases in your first sentence of a page, but you can put crucial keyword phrases in the first sentence but never the first word.

    2.Use your keyword phrases in all your headings i.e. H1, H2, H3

3.Bold keyword phrases should start appearing in the second paragraph and Italics should appear a few times after your first usage of the particular keyword in question. As a rule of thumb, never allow the first usage of keyword phrases to be in Italics

    4.Use keywords in ALT tags

5.It’s advisable to let other websites use your most important keyword phrase on your pages in the inbound links. While most websites will link to your home page, ensure you give them the main keyword phrase that you’re optimizing the home page for.

6.For internal linking i.e. from one page back to your home page, ensure your most important key phrase is used in the link and in the event that your homepage is linking to another page, use the keyword phrase in the link that your other page has been optimized for.

7.Putting keyword phrases on the left navigation panel will take you nowhere. Google in particular prefer keywords in full sentences, a full sentence in this case is defined as 3 or more words that start with a capital letter and end with a full stop or any other punctuation. However, words like “the,” “a,” “I,” “of” etc do not count as among the three words of a sentence.

8.To rank among the top websites, if not be the first website, your keyword relevancy is much more important than your page Rank. For instance, you can have a PageRank of 10 and still not show up anywhere in the top 100 websites when a web user searches for “peanut butter sandwiches”, unless your WebPages are already optimized and have high relevance for the keyword phrase.

9.To maximum results, use your keyword phrase in the H1, H2, or H3 headline and then immediately follow it with a keyword-rich paragraph, which you should then repeat using another H1, H2, or H3 headline and a keyword-rich paragraph, and the chain should continue.

10.Never try to optimize a single page for more than 2 or 3 keyword phrases and always aim to optimize the phrases not the keywords. This is because among other reasons, the keyword is included in the keyword phrase and the fact that many people wouldn’t go searching for a single word.

The Latest On SEO: Google’s Official Blog Announces That Web Server Speed Affects Google Page Rank

Posted by Ping Olivers on July 7th, 2010 and filed under seo training | No Comments »

Competitive businesses heavily rely on the internet to spread word about their products and services, reach a huge number of consumers in high speed, and finalise sales or widen their business segments both locally and internationally. The internet is a cost-efficient way to advertise to millions in just a few seconds. The internet places the world in the palm of your hands, and does the marketing for you even while you are not working.

Search engine optimisation is now the biggest word in internet marketing. At least, that is how some SEO services make it seem. In contrast, SEO should be simple even as it applies dynamic solutions to get your company to rank first on the first page of the search engines.

The final outcome for any SEO campaign is to get your company on the first rank of the first page of the most visited search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and Bing; without you having to invest on sponsored links. SEO consultants will teach you ways you organically rank on a variety of business-driven keywords by employing a variety of SEO services.

Among a variety of SEO approaches, content creation and distribution is said to bring in the most traffic to your site. Internet users appreciate information that is truthful, authoritative, and meaningful to them. If your site has this information, then the chances for many visits and return visits are high. From these visits, your chance of making visitors into consumers or buyers increases.

Unfortunately, just because other SEO service providers have done it earlier than others, they can take advantage and require a bigger fee. They also make SEO sound too technical, using nomenclatures that are overwhelming to the client, in an effort to intellectualise their way up to more dollars. This can be tricky. SEO is simple. And simple SEO works. The only important thing for the SEO professional to do to lead is to keep ahead with emerging SEO strategies.

One of these emerging concepts is the effect of server speed on page rank. After putting SEO in place, you might wonder why you are still not ranking as desired. Give your site performance a thorough check and you might see why.

Site performance is the speed with which pages on your website load or come out when a visitor clicks on it. Google Webmaster Central, Google’s official blog, reported that it lowers the rank of sites that take time to be viewable. Google does this because it can get annoying to wait for a page to load.

Learn Optimization And Take Over The #1 Position

Posted by Robert Kelsey on June 30th, 2010 and filed under seo training | No Comments »

All business want to make money. It’s one of the reasons they business exists at all. The actual reason any business exists though it to provide a product or service to the public, or other businesses. Usually, a business wants to provide better quality than any other business.

Search engines are businesses too. They want to provide you with the best results so that you return to search again. If they do not provide you with good results you will look elsewhere for your search needs.

Algorithms exist because of this fact. The engines are trying to provide you with the best search results possible. They want to weed out the sites of lesser importance and provide you with exactly what you are looking for.

The algorithms work in mysterious ways that, for all intents and purposes, we will never fully understand. But we can get a pretty good glimpse at what they are all about by simply thinking about what their bottom line is.

So when you go about optimizing your website what do you really do to make your site good enough to show up in the results? Do you try and trick the algorithm and use some black hat techniques?

If you want to get ranked well, and then stay there, you need to optimize your site well, get good inbound links pointing at you and then … and this is big … create the best content that can be.

Code is important. Here is where things are closer to cut and dry. Much of the coding issues that an algorithm looks at are going to be the same for any and all optimization. Titles tags, heading tags, code attributes, all work the same way for any site. Taking time to do these things well will reward you in the long run. Always create a unique title tag for every page. Use code attributes like alt= and title=. The use of code optimization will meet favorably with the engines algorithms’.

Your content is where you will be telling your story and telling the engines what your site is really all about. From a to z and alpha to zed your words will define what your site is about for the algorithm. You will be scored accordingly and wind up showing up somewhere for whatever keywords you are using in your content. It does matter where you use your keywords too.

How big a site is also makes a difference. If you think about it, a one page site probably doesn’t offer up much information and probably won’t be very valuable. I’m sure the engines see it that way too. If you press me I’ll say more than 10 pages is enough to show you are a serious piece of web real estate.

There is a lot to SEO. Over the years things have settled down quite a bit and today there is a basic set of standards that you need to meet in order to be optimized. These are all things that can be learned and then implemented by you, or your staff, for your website.

Optimization of websites is no longer unattainable by the average business owner. You can take a course, or have your staff take it, and learn exactly what changes are needed to get your site to rise in the rankings. It’s all a matter of being one step better than your competition. Learn how to do this, and you’ll be a successful online business.

SEO Training Is Now Available To You As An Online Business Owner

Posted by Robert Kelsey on June 28th, 2010 and filed under seo training | No Comments »

Back when the internet had just started becoming popular SEO was a function that only a few so called gurus knew how to do. It was mostly trial and error processes that sometimes worked, yet often did not provide the traffic increases we hoped for. Quite a bit of what was done was simply making changes that seemed to be right, and then watching the listings go up or down to know if it was working or not. Nothing was just plain known back then and everything had to be figured out. You needed to really apply yourself and your time to figure out what made the algorithm happy, and what didn’t. Today things are quite different. Now there are a set of known techniques, things that really need to be done, that will get your site to be search engine friendly. It’s all code updates, content changes and inbound linking today.

Back when I started doing this optimization thing the term SEO, or optimization for that matter, wasn’t even known. At that point in time the engines utilized the meta tags to rank a site. The site that had the most repetitions of a keyword turned out to be the one who ranked #1 for it. It was crazy times. Google wasn’t even online yet. All you had to do to be the #1 listing was add keywords to your meta tags. It was an incredible easy time to make some money online.

We learned back then that the title tag was also important and things like this began to be some of the work we always had to do. The meta tags fell to the wayside eventually because it was such an abused system. Search engine algorithms had to become more sophisticated and find some other method to figure out what your site was about, and which out of all the sites was the most important one. To further complicate things the ‘net was growing in leaps and bounds and sites were popping up like kernels of Orville Redenbacher popcorn. There has been no more exciting, captivating and eye opening time of life for me since the sixties, which is when I grew up. Woodstock and everything!

When it was realized the optimization of a site was required if you wanted to be a successful business the whole idea of SEO, or optimization, was just starting to take shape. Frankly, I had no idea what to do to approach these new requirements that the engines had, and of course, they didn’t let you know what they thought was important! Slowly, by trial and error and gains and losses, we all began to figure out which things we could do that would help a site. A lot of common sense went into all this research and trial and error. We also discovered things that we definitely did not want to do.

Over the past years all of that work that used to be kept secret, or was very complicated and experimental, is now all common knowledge. Along with this new status of SEO as being common knowledge comes the ability to learn how to SEO yourself. You can take a seo training course, or you can go online and learn it from the many sites that have blogs and forums. Today all of that trial and error, and experimentation of yesteryear, is all set standards and regular procedures.

There are quite a few ways for you to learn SEO today through online tutorials and courses. Be sure to choose a SEO tutorial that will show you the coding changes to make as well as provide information about inbound linking and how to begin generating these valuable backlinks to your site. Today, it’s all a matter of learning what SEO is and then getting the job done … it’s no longer a specialty field that you need to hire a technical guru for. SEO has settled down and become a standard part of web development.
